* Ingredients:
- Green Plantain/ Pacha kaya- 2 nos.
- Onion (sliced)- 1/2 of 1
- Dry red chilli- 2 nos.
- Curry leaves- 1 sprig
- Coconut oil- 1 tbsp.
- Tamarind paste/ Pulli vellam- 1 tsp.
- Water- As needed
- Salt- As needed
* Cooking Time: 5 minutes
* Recipe:
Step 1: Boil the plantains/ kaya with a pinch of salt till cooked.
Step 2: With a little oil, saute the sliced onions, curry leaves and dry red chilli.
Step 3: Grind the sauted onion mixture with the tamarind paste and the boiled plantains/ kaya adding water gradually till you get the desired consistency. Add salt as needed.

* BONUS TIP: The skin of the ethakka can also be used since it is boiled and good source of fiber, but I had removed it in this recipe.
It can be served with dosa/ idlis or with baked pita chips/ nachos!!
