Easy Homemade Ginger Khari (Puffed pastry tea time snack)

* 15 minute recipe* Kid favorite *


Ingredients: 
  • Puff pastry sheet-1
  • Milk- 2 tbsp.
  • Ginger powder- 1 tsp.
  • Elachi/ Ellakka powder- 1 tsp.
  • Cinnamon powder/ Karukappatta powder-1 tsp.
  • Pepper- A pinch
  • Salt- A pinch
Cooking Time: 15 minutes

Makes: 12-15 kharis

Recipe:
Step 1: Roll out the puff pastry sheet.
(I used the store bought variety. I will be posting an easy method to make homemade puff pastry sheets)



Step 2: In a small bowl, mix the ginger powder, elaichi powder, cinammon powder, salt, pepper (optional).


Step 3: Cut the pastry into strips and dip in the batter or use a pastry brush to brush on the pastries. Place each of them on a baking tray with a small gap between each one. 





Step 4: Preheat oven to 400 F (200 C) and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.







Personal Tip:  Tastes amazing with Masala tea. My toddler loves eating these with her favorite homemade Strawberry jam.
