Quick Baked Potato/ Sweet Potato

** Easy and Quick Cooking Tip ** 

Ingredients: 

  • Sweet potato/ Potato- As many as needed
  • Tissue paper


Cooking Time: 6 minutes

Recipe:

Step 1: Wash the potatoes well. Using a fork, prick holes in the potato using a fork. 

* TIP: Piercing holes is to help the steam to escape and the potato will not burst during cooking.


Step 2: Wet a tissue paper/ kitchen towel with water and wring off the excess oil and cover each potato with it. (Never use aluminium foil in the microwave)

* Tip: The water from the tissue will keep the potato soft and not dry out.


Step 3: Microwave for 6 minutes and test by piercing with a fork. If not completely done, microwave for 1 minute additional.





BONUS TIP:  Served best with red cilli chutney/ fish curry/ pickle.
