* Ingredients:- Tapioca/ Kappa (cut and skinned)- As needed
- Bird's eye chilli/Kanthari mulakku/ green chilli- A handful/ per taste
- Onion (finely diced)- 1/2 of 1
- Curry leaves- 1 sprig
- Coconut oil- 1 tbsp.
- Salt- Per taste
* Recipe:
Step 1: Crush and mix all the ingredients for making the chammanthi/ chilli dipping sauce (onion, chilli, curry leaves and then mixed with coconut oil). Add salt per taste.
Step 2: In a pot, add the cleaned and skinned tapioca with enough water to cover the entire contents and start boiling, do not cover and cook since it will cook really fast and will start dissolving in the water. Add 1/4 tsp salt to the water. Optionally also add curry leaves and a pinch of turmeric to the water while boiling.
Once fork tender, strain out the water and serve hot with the dipping sauce.
