**Family favorite, easy recipe! ** Gluten Free And Freezer Safe!!
* Ingredients:
* Optional goodies: (To add to filing)
- Shredded coconut- 1 cup
- Jaggery (sharkara)/ Sugar- 1.5 tsp.
- Cumin (Jeera) Powder- 1/4 tsp.
- Cardamom/ Ellaka (crushed)- 2 nos.
- Rice powder- 1.5 cup
- Water- 1.5 cups
- Salt- A pinch

- Flax powder- 1 tsp.
- Chia seeds- 1 tsp.
- Gluten free Sugar- 1.5 tsp.
* Serves: 9- 10 Adas.

Step 1: Add the Shredded coconut, salt, cardamom and cumin powder into a bowl
Bonus Tip: This freezes really well (even with the foil). To reheat, either steam or microwave without the foil for 1 minute!! Enjoy!!❤☺

Step 2: Boil Jaggery in a pot with 1/4 cup water. (*Should not be very watery- Strain excess). Add to the coconut mixture.
Step 3: Dry roast the rice flour with a pinch of salt (*Optional step).
Remove from the flame once it is very lightly roasted.
Step 4: Boil 1.5 cups of water and after it starts boiling add the rice flour.
(Add a few teaspoons of water if needed, the mixture will be lumpy, but should not be too dry or it will crack during moulding). Add salt if you are not adding it at the previous step.
Step 5: Lightly wetting your palm with cold water, knead the dough well to form a smooth ball. (Cover with a damp paper towel/ a plate to prevent it from drying out). This can be done in a bowl or on a flat surface.

Step 6: Form Lemon Sized round balls from the dough. Cover to prevent it from going dry.
Step 7: Lightly wet your palm and press each one onto an aluminium foil/ banana leaf till it becomes semi flat (don't make it too thin, it will stick to the foil and tear)
Step 8: Add the filling, fold the ada in half.
To seal, wet your finger tips with water and press the edges.
Step 9: Wrap the ada in the foil/ banana leaf
Step 10: Use a steamer and cook for about 10-15 minutes
