Easy 5 Minute Sweet Apple Cinnamon French Toast recipe with Flax

**Easy, Healthy and Finger licking good** (Freezer Safe recipe)


Ingredients:
  • Eggs- 2 nos.
  • Bread Slices- 12 nos.
  • Warm milk- 1 cup 
  • Sugar/ Honey/ Maple syrup- 1 tbsp.
  • Salt- A pinch.
  • Butter/ Oil- As needed

** Optional goodies:
  • Flax seeds (Powdered)- 1 tbsp.


  • Applesauce- 1 tsp.
  • Cinnamon powder- A pinch
  • Vanilla essense- 1/2 tsp.
  • Ezekiel bread (Instead of whole wheat)- 12 nos.

** If you are not able to get the flax, skip it in the recipe. It will still taste great. They are added for a high fiber protein boost, have great anti-oxidant properties, help in weight loss and have several other other incredible health benefits.

Makes: 12 French toasts


Recipe:

- Mix the all the ingredients (except oil and bread slices) in a cup and transfer into a deep dish for dipping the bread slices.
- Slightly oil a non- stick pan. Lower flame to medium- low heat.
- Dip the bread slices in the mixture for a few seconds. Coat both sides.
- Place in the pan. Flip to cook both sides ( Each side about 3-5 seconds) Enjoy with some chocolate, homemade jam (Click here for recipe), maple syrup or some bananas!!! You will be getting frequent requests to make this!!❤☺

Step 1: Mix all the ingredients. Transfer to a deep dish.



Step 2: Dunk the bread slices and cook both sides

Note:

- Warm the milk slightly (10 seconds in the microwave) before mixing. Your ingredients will mix better and won't clump..
- Do not dip the bread slices for too long, it will tear off due to the weight.
- When the bread side is cooked, it will lift off easily. Its a good way to know when its cooked. Each side takes about 3- 5 seconds.
- If you are using sweetened applesauce, you can skip adding applesauce or add gluten free sugar to make this a Reduced Gluten meal.
- Use Ezekiel bread (Sprouted grain bread) instead of whole wheat and this will be a protein powerhouse breakfast.
- If you are using a non- stick frying pan, you can skip adding oil/ butter.
- Make extras and once cooled, freeze them in ziploc bags (they will freeze as one solid, so place only as many cooked slices as your family will need for 1 breakfast). Microwave for 2 minutes and serve!!!
